Meet Wayne

Founder

Wayne Murry, CFA

Wayne Murry, CFA, is the founder of Murry Wealth Management. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Wayne wears many hats in his role as founder, the most important being Chief Investment Officer. He takes an unbiased, analytical approach to helping clients manage their portfolios.

Wayne began his career in 1998 as a rookie Financial Advisor at Prudential Securities (now Wells Fargo). In 2001, he joined Whitney Bank, a regional bank, as a bond trader and gained tremendous experience as he traded a variety of bonds from the simplest to the very complex on behalf of the brokers in the field. Wayne remained at Whitney Bank until 2022, serving as Portfolio Manager in the Trust Department and, finally, as a Senior Investment Consultant.

Wayne become a CFA charter holder in 2003, the same year he earned his MBA from the University of New Orleans and welcomed his first son. A New Orleans native, Wayne is proud to have given back to his community and his profession by serving in various board capacities over the years, including previously serving as President of the CFA Society.

In his spare time, Wayne likes watching Saints or LSU football games or occasionally catching a UFC/MMA matchup. Most importantly, he enjoys spending quality time with his four children, friends, and family.
